Three days after the Atiq-Asraf murder case, on Wednesday, five police personnel from the Shahganj police station in Prayagraj were suspended. This action was taken after an investigation by the SIT. Among those suspended are SO Ashwani Kumar Singh, two inspectors, and two constables.
Meanwhile, the three accused shooters, Luvlesh, Sunny, and Arun, were presented in front of the CJM court in Prayagraj. The court granted a 4-day police remand for them, although the police had asked for a 7-day remand. The decision was announced by Judge Dinesh Kumar Gautam in Court No. 10.
The police are currently questioning the three shooters in the presence of Crime SP Satish Chandra, ACP Satyendra Tiwari, and Inspector Om Prakash. It is said that the police have prepared 100 questions for them. The police are also searching for the mobile phones of these accused. An attempt will be made to find out who they were in contact with at the last minute by checking their mobile phones.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the Prayagraj police also arrested Asad Kalia, a close shooter of Atiq gang, who had a reward of Rs. 50,000 on his head. Asad Kalia is said to be the financier of the Atiq gang. The police are now questioning him.
